Green Card Approval for DACA Recipient

Description
The intending immigrant married someone of the same sex and wanted to obtain legal permanent residency. The intending immigrant entered with a tourist visa as a child and was later approved for DACA. The intending immigrant is now married to a U.S. citizen, but the spouse is unemployed and can’t meet the poverty guidelines.
Strategy
Since the intending immigrant entered legally and is now an immediate relative to a U.S. citizen, we are able to file the I-130 and I-485 concurrently.
Challenges
The main challenge was the spouse being unemployed, but since the intending immigrant had a valid work permit, we were able to use their income to overcome the poverty guidelines.
Outcome
The intending immigrant now has their legal permanent resident card and plans on applying for U.S. citizenship when they are eligible.
